Web Development Using Claris Home Page 3.0
I.  To Create a New Page:
     A. Click on the Claris Home Page 3.0 folder.
     B. A new page should appear on your screen, if not, select the File menu and drag your mouse down to New Page.
     C. You can now begin to create your new page.
II. Entering Text:
     A. Once you have typed in your text, you can highlight it and change it if necessary by clicking on the buttons located on the tool bar. 
     B. Change alignment, size of text, style and color. 

 
 

 

     C. If you need to change the font, click on the Style menu and scroll down to Font.
III. Linking Text:
     A. Highlight text you wish to add a link to. 
     B. Click on the Link Editor button located on the tool bar. 

 
 

 

     C. Enter the URL that you want the text linked to and close the box.

 
 

 

IV. Saving Graphics From the Internet:
     A. Open Netscape Browser.
     B. Navigate through and find the graphic that you want.
     C. Hold your mouse down on the graphic and a pop-up window will appear.
     D. Select Save This Image As.
     E. Save it in the folder you would like it in and select Save.
 
 
 
 

 

     F. Go back to Claris Works Home Page 3.0.
     G. Go to your menu and select Insert and drag your mouse down to Image.
     H. Find the location where you saved your graphic and click on Open. Your image will be loaded on to your page.
V. Inserting Graphics:
     A. Go to the menu bar and select Insert or select the Graphics button on the tool bar.

 
 
 

 

     B. Choose the image you want and click on Open. The image will be loaded on to your page.
VI. Linking Graphics:
     A. Select the graphic you want to add a link to by pointing and clicking on it. A box will appear around it when it is selected. 
     B. Click on the Link Editor button located on the tool bar. (See linking text).

 
 
 
 
 

 

      C. Enter the URL you wish to link the graphic to and close the box. If the graphic is linked, it will now have a box around it.
VII. Creating Tables:
     A. Click on the Insert Table button located on the menu bar.

 
 
 
 

 

          1. Enter the number of rows and columns you want your table to have.
          2. Enter the spacing (thickness of lines between cells and columns).
          3. Enter the padding (this makes the cells larger instead of the lines between them).
          4. And finally, enter the border (how thick you want the line to be around the whole table).
     B. You are also able to change the color here.
     C. If you already have a table, you can click on these buttons to add or delete table rows and columns.
*You can also click on cells to change the alignment and color in your cell selected.
